The central Mediterranean Sea is one of the deadliest borders in the world—yet thousands of people attempt the crossing every year. In 2024 alone, 1,810 people were reported missing or dead. These are the official numbers; the unreported cases are believed to be significantly higher. The video shows the absurd duality between German politics and real events unfolding in the central Mediterranean. The video is based on a two-month-long search and rescue (SAR) mission carried out in 2024/2025.
